The Ravens’ defensive line is at full strength at the start of the stretch run, as Michael Pierce has been moved to the 53-man roster.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Baltimore activated Pierce off the injured reserve\/designated to return list after he was a full practice participant throughout the week following the bye.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Ravens had two open spots on the 53-man roster, so they didn’t need to make any corresponding moves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Pierce can get his feet back under him against New York’s run game, which has been the strength of their offense behind Tyrone Tracy Jr. The Giants rank 15th in the NFL in rushing, averaging 115.6 yards per game.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It also gives Pierce a game under his belt before next Saturday’s colossal tilt with the run-heavy Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran run stuffer had 15 tackles and one sack in seven games before suffering a calf injury in Week 8 in Cleveland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fellow defensive tackle Travis Jones, who has dealt with an ankle injury since October, also practiced fully this week and was removed from the injury report after the bye. Having Pierce and Jones back healthy could make a big difference for Baltimore’s improving defense.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“It’s huge,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said this week. “Michael Pierce and Travis Jones are great players. Those guys are game-wreckers inside. Those guys being ready to go, being 100% is a possibility for us \u2013 a massive possibility. They’re two massive guys playing massively good football.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In other moves, the Ravens elevated cornerback Desmond King and linebacker William Kwenkeu. This is Kwenkeu’s second elevation.
