The NBA trade deadline is still weeks away but the Golden State Warriors are wasting no time searching for some help for Stephen Curry. In the latest rumblings, ESPN’s Shams Charania revealed that they have struck a deal for\u00a0Dennis Schroder\u00a0and second-round draft picks for\u00a0De’Anthony Melton\u00a0and three second-round picks.<\/p>\n

“The Brooklyn Nets are finalizing a deal to send guard Dennis Schroder and one second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for De’Anthony Melton and three second-round picks, sources told ESPN,”\u00a0wrote Shams on X<\/a>. “A dynamic playmaker and scorer arriving to the Warriors.”<\/em><\/p>\n

December 15th (tomorrow) starts the NBA’s unofficial trade season. That’s the day 85 free agents signed this offseason will be eligible to be traded, including Brooklyn’s\u00a0Dennis Schroder. The 31-year-old guard signed with the Nets this summer but now he’s set to join the Warriors to begin the next phase of his career.<\/p>\n

Schroder, who was born in\u00a0Braunschweig, Germany, is a quick and versatile point guard who can score on a dime and run the offense with his tight handles. While Schroder has come off the bench for much of his career, he’s a starter for the Nets this year with averages of 18.4 points, 6.6 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game on 45.2% shooting.<\/p>\n
