Jerry Jones made his weekly appearance on\u00a0105.3 The Fan\u00a0and as expected, he was asked about the job security for Mike McCarthy. The\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0have turned a corner over the past month, giving McCarthy a better chance of returning in 2025.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s still a chance Jones decides to move on, and if so, that leaves\u00a0Mike Zimmer\u00a0in a weird spot. Now in his second stint as defensive coordinator, Zimmer\u2019s defense is starting to show signs of life. That led to Jones being asked if Zimmer\u2019s return is contingent on McCarthy\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Jones said the two are connected \u201cin a way,\u201d before opening the door wider for a return. The owner\/general manager\u00a0praised the work both coaches have done<\/a>, adding that \u201cmaybe the best is still ahead of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
