American actor Billy Eichner recalled a hilarious misunderstanding between him and\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0at an\u00a0Oscars<\/span>\u00a0party earlier this year.<\/p>\n

On a recent appearance on\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel<\/span>\u00a0Live, Eichner revealed that he saw the\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City Chiefs tight end with popstar girlfriend\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0at an afterparty hosted by\u00a0Madonna<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The comedian shared that Kelce enthusiastically introduced himself to Eichner but butchered one detail – his first name.<\/p>\n

‘All of a sudden, I feel a very strong, like bro-y, pat on my back,’ Eichner explained. ‘It was a masculine man, Jimmy. I turn around. I’m 6’3, right? So I’m not used to looking up and actors are pretty short.<\/p>\n

‘So I turn around, and I feel this pat on my back, and I turn around and it’s Travis Kelce,’ he added.<\/p>\n

‘In a very loud, booming voice in a house full of the most famous people in the world, Travis Kelce looks at me and goes, “Jimmy on the motherf***ing Street! I love you, man,”‘ he continued, noting his show entitled ‘Billy on the Street.’<\/p>\n

The Chiefs star attended the star-studded after party with his popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift<\/p>\n

‘This literally happened, and he’s beaming. He’s so happy to see me. And it’s Travis Kelce, who, I’m not expecting would know who I am at all, and he says, “Jimmy on the Street.”‘<\/p>\n

Eichner then laughed about how he could not ‘bring myself to correct him’ as Kelce ‘said it with such confidence.’<\/p>\n

‘He looked so happy to see me like I could tell he was a fan,’ Eichner joked. ‘He’s Travis Kelce, he’s huge. He’s standing there with Taylor Swift, you know. I didn’t know what to do.’<\/p>\n

Eichner noted how Kelce reached out with a fist bump every time they crossed paths through the evening.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t want to stereotype gay men, but I don’t ordinarily communicate via fist-bump, but I kept doing it,’ Eichner quipped.<\/p>\n

The Lion King star also suggested that maybe Kelce might have seen Kimmel, who was also at the party and got their names mixed up. However, the Late Night host thought otherwise.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t think he talked to me at all,’ Kimmel said. ‘No, I don’t think I did talk to him.’<\/p>\n

‘I do want to say though, he has an open invitation to appear with me on “Jimmy on the Street,”‘ Eichner added, telling Kimmel, ‘You can join us.’<\/p>\n

‘That way we can really confuse him,’ Kimmel replied, warranting a laugh from the audience.<\/p>\n

Eichner also joked about intentionally mixing Swift’s name with another singer to tease her NFL boyfriend.<\/p>\n
