Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and all the leading names on the ATP Tour will soon head Down Under for the Australian Open 2025. Most players have signed up for a warm-up event or two before contesting the season’s first Major.<\/p>\n

Djokovic will headline the Brisbane International, which will be held from December 29 to January 5. He is the top seed, and will also play alongside Nick Kyrgios in doubles. This will be the latter’s first professional tournament of his comeback.<\/p>\n

Defending champion Grigor Dimitrov is the second seed, followed by top 20 players Holger Rune and Frances Tiafoe. Sebastian Korda is also in the mix here, along with former top 10 players Matteo Berrettini, Gael Monfils, and David Goffin.<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz\u00a0and Jannik Sinner haven’t signed up for any of the tournaments prior to the Australian Open. Instead, they will compete alongside Djokovic and some other big names in charity matches as part of the “Opening Week” ahead of the Melbourne Major.<\/p>\n

The Hong Kong Open will run alongside the Brisbane International from December 30 to January 5. Defending champion and World No. 6 Andrey Rublev is the top seed. He will be joined by top 20 players Lorenzo Musetti, Karen Khachanov, and Arthur Fils as the headliners there.<\/p>\n

A host of prominent names will participate in the United Cup, which will run from December 27 to January 5. Alexander Zverev,\u00a0Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, and Alex de Minaur are the top 10 players in action there. Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jack Draper, Hubert Hurkacz, and Borna Coric are some of the other well-known names in the fray as well.<\/p>\n

The action will also continue in the second week of the month. Players will be spread across two cities in the final warm-up tournaments before the Australian Open.<\/p>\n

Most top 20 players usually rest a week before the start of a Major but that’s not the case when it comes to the Australian Open. World No. 12\u00a0Tommy Paul\u00a0will headline the Adelaide International, which will be held from January 6-11.<\/p>\n

Paul will be joined by Lorenzo Musetti, Sebastian Korda, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, and Alexander Bublik, among others. The ASB Classic in Auckland is the other tournament taking place during the same time.<\/p>\n

Ben Shelton is the top seed in Auckland, where he made the semifinals in 2024. Alejandro Tabilo, Sebastian Baez, Francisco Cerundolo, Cameron Norrie, and Gael Monfils are some of the other players who will also participate here.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
