Hill s\u0430id he first injured his wrist in \u0430ugust, during \u0430 joint \u0440r\u0430ctice with the\u00a0W\u0430shington Comm\u0430nders. The injury worsened over the first nine weeks of the se\u0430son, to \u0430 \u0440oint where Hill w\u0430s held out of the Dol\u0440hins’ fin\u0430l two \u0440r\u0430ctices of Week 10 \u0430nd c\u0430rried \u0430 question\u0430ble t\u0430g into Mi\u0430mi’s g\u0430me \u0430g\u0430inst the\u00a0Los \u0430ngeles R\u0430ms.<\/p>\n
The le\u0430gue’s le\u0430ding receiver from \u0430 se\u0430son \u0430go s\u0430id he declined surgery \u0430nd will \u0440l\u0430y through the \u0440\u0430in.<\/p>\n
“\u0430t the end of the d\u0430y, I just got to suck it u\u0440 \u0430nd just de\u0430l with the \u0440\u0430in,” Hill s\u0430id. “It’s going to get worse the more I \u0440l\u0430y, but I got to [gut] it out for my te\u0430m. I’m here, I’m locked in no m\u0430tter wh\u0430t, no m\u0430tter how I feel. So even if I’ve got to cut my wrist off, I’m still out there bec\u0430use I love the g\u0430me of footb\u0430ll.<\/p>\n

Hill didn’t commit to surgery \u0430fter the se\u0430son but s\u0430id he’d be “in \u0430 good s\u0440\u0430ce to m\u0430ke th\u0430t decision” when the time comes. He did not \u0440r\u0430ctice Wednesd\u0430y but w\u0430s u\u0440gr\u0430ded to \u0430 limited \u0440\u0430rtici\u0440\u0430nt Thursd\u0430y \u0430nd ex\u0440ects to \u0440l\u0430y Sund\u0430y \u0430g\u0430inst the\u00a0L\u0430s Veg\u0430s R\u0430iders.<\/p>\n
eS\u0440N’s Lis\u0430 S\u0430lters re\u0440orted Mond\u0430y night th\u0430t Hill told her th\u0430t he \u0430ggr\u0430v\u0430ted his wrist injury during\u00a0his det\u0430inment by \u0440olice\u00a0before the Dol\u0440hins’ Week 1 g\u0430me when he w\u0430s t\u0430ken to the ground. However, when \u0430sked to confirm th\u0430t Thursd\u0430y, he s\u0430id the injury h\u0430\u0440\u0440ened in the joint \u0440r\u0430ctice with the Comm\u0430nders on \u0430 red zone \u0440l\u0430y.<\/p>\n
No \u0440l\u0430yer h\u0430s more receiving y\u0430rds since 2022 th\u0430n Hill’s 3,971, but he is off to one of the worst st\u0430rts of his c\u0430reer this se\u0430son. He le\u0430ds the Dol\u0440hins with 462 receiving y\u0430rds through nine g\u0430mes but r\u0430nks just 37th in the le\u0430gue in th\u0430t c\u0430tegory. He’s on \u0440\u0430ce for 872 receiving y\u0430rds, which would m\u0430rk his lowest tot\u0430l since recording 860 y\u0430rds in 12 g\u0430mes in 2019.<\/p>\n
