Butler had stated that the\u00a0Boston Celtics\u00a0and New York Knicks wouldn\u2019t have advanced in the tournament if he had been available to play.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFor him to say that, I thought, \u2018Is that Jimmy trolling, or is that Jimmy serious?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Riley said at the time in response to Jimmy\u2019s brash comments.\u00a0<em>\u201cIf you\u2019re not on the court playing against Boston or on the court playing against the New York Knicks, you should keep your mouth shut.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The fallout from Riley\u2019s comments reportedly left Butler \u201ccaught off guard,\u201d according to the Miami Herald.
