Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell confirmed that he’ll be rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs in order for his team to clinch a postseason berth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“For the first time in my life, I’m going to be a big Chiefs fan — a HUGE Chiefs fan,” Campbell said following Miami’s 20-3 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, per\u00a0Adam Beasley\u00a0of Pro Football Network.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Dolphins must defeat the New York Jets in Week 18 and also need the Chiefs to win against the Denver Broncos to secure the final playoff spot in the AFC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It’ll likely be more difficult for Kansas City to win compared to a traditional matchup between the AFC West foes, as NFL Network’s\u00a0Ian Rapoport\u00a0reported that the Chiefs plan to rest their starters against Denver after locking up the No. 1 seed in the conference.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Broncos are also fighting for their playoff lives, as they’d clinch the last postseason spot with a win over the Chiefs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Campbell acknowledged the possibility when speaking to reporters on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I don’t know what Andy Reid is going to do with his players and all that,” Campbell said. “But I know that in football, it’s nice to have a shot.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
