FRISCO \u2014 Jourdan Lewis has been one of the better players for the Cowboys this season.<\/p>\n

The nickel corner ranks fifth on the team with 71 tackles. He\u2019s second in passes defended (seven) with an interception and a forced fumble.<\/p>\n

While that performance\u00a0didn\u2019t earn him a spot in the Pro Bowl, he did pick up a local award Thursday. Lewis received the team\u2019s Good Guy Award voted on by the Dallas chapter of the Pro Football Writers Association for his cooperation with the media over the course of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just to represent the team well, to make sure that the brand is protected and make sure that my teammates are protected,\u2019\u2019 Lewis said of his approach. \u201cThat\u2019s what I want to be known as, an upstanding guy that loves his teammates and loves his team and makes sure that we\u2019re represented the right way.<\/p>\n
