And that&#8217;s who I am.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"m-detail-header--flexbox\">\n<div class=\"m-detail-header--meta\">\n<div class=\"m-description--list\">\n<p>The lame-duck season for\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0head coach\u00a0Mike McCarthy\u00a0is officially over after the\u00a023-19 loss to the Washington Commanders\u00a0at AT&amp;T Stadium brought the curtain down on a poor year.<\/p>\n<p>But has it also brought down the curtain on McCarthy&#8217;s time in Dallas?<\/p>\n<p>That will be a topic of hot debate in the coming hours with Black Monday fast approaching, but as we know with owner Jerry Jones, he won&#8217;t rush into a decision.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-b not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\">\n<div class=\"m-in-content-ad not-size-a not-size-b not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\" data-zone-count=\"2\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>However an important aspect of this coaching debate is whether or not Jerry wants McCarthy to return. Our Mike Fisher had already reported in the affirmative, but just in case &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Does McCarthy want a return to The Star?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsolutely, I\u2019m invested here, and the Cowboys have a lot invested in me,\u201d McCarthy said. \u201cThen there\u2019s a personal side to all these decisions. They all point in the right direction. I know how to win. I&#8217;ve won a championship,&#8221; McCarthy said. &#8220;And that&#8217;s who I am.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, it is clear that McCarthy wants to be retained as the Cowboys&#8217; head coach. Now, we eagerly await the outcomes of meetings over the next couple of days to see which direction the Cowboys will take.<\/p>\n<p>At game&#8217;s end, McCarthy positioned himself inside the door of the locker room and greeted his staffers with embraces and a whispered word.<\/p>\n<p>It is clear McCarthy wants a return to Dallas.
