Just hours after the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys and head coach Mike McCarthy agreed to part ways, team owner Jerry Jones reportedly reached out to\u00a0Deion Sanders about the vacant position.<\/p>\n

While the Colorado Buffaloes head coach\u00a0has been adamant about wanting to remain\u00a0at the collegiate level, Sanders is expected to have\u00a0“some interest,” in the job.<\/p>\n

Following up on the bevy of reports that he could potentially make the jump to the NFL, the 57-year-old\u00a0released a statement on Monday night through ESPN’s Adam Schefter:<\/p>\n

\u201cTo hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it\u2019s intriguing,\u201d\u00a0said Sanders, via Schefter. \u201cI love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it\u2019s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
