News, Brittany Mahomes explained in an\u00a0April 2023 Instagram story\u00a0that she named her dog Steel while in college and then wanted to name a future pet Sterling to go with it.<\/p>\n<p>However, she saved the name Sterling for her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Then we got another dog, and I wanted to name her Sterling because it went with Steel perfectly. In a Nov. 2022 press conference, Patrick Mahomes revealed that the idea of naming their son Bronze came from his younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, per\u00a0TMZ.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jackson suggested Bronze to match Sterling, and it fit perfectly,&#8221;
