Chiefs have already played against every potential AFC playoff opponent this yearKANSAS City Chiefs coach Andy Reid fired a warning to his team not to look ahead to a potential third straight Super Bowl.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reid, 66, wants\u00a0Patrick Mahomes\u00a0and Co. to stay focused on the next game in their bid for history.<\/p>\n

Kansas City\u00a0has earned a first round playoff bye after securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC.<\/p>\n

They will have to win two more games their Arrowhead Stadium home to book a spot in\u00a0Super Bowl LIX.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are aiming to become the first team in\u00a0NFL\u00a0history to win three straight Super Bowls.<\/p>\n

But Reid told his stars to look only at the division round of the playoffs next weekend.<\/p>\n

“The important thing is to stay focused on the team in hand.<\/p>\n

“It’s important as coaches we know all these teams and put together a game plan which the players can execute.<\/p>\n

“If you start getting caught up in the what ifs and all that, you get into trouble.<\/p>\n

“You’ve just got to take the next one, play your best and see how the chips fall.<\/p>\n

“If anything gets in the way of that, you’ve got to get rid of it because it’ll hinder you rather than help you.”<\/p>\n

The Chiefs will play their division round game on January 18 or 19.<\/p>\n

Kansas City has already played against all six teams that have made the AFC playoffs and are in action on wild card weekend.<\/p>\n

Their two losses this year came to the No.2 seed\u00a0Buffalo Bills\u00a0and No. 7 seed\u00a0Denver Broncos.<\/p>\n

But the Chiefs have also faced the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens,\u00a0Houston Texans,\u00a0Los Angeles Chargers\u00a0and\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers\u00a0in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe actually have played, which is crazy, all the teams that are in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

“You can\u2019t be content with that.<\/p>\n

“So, the four teams that we have a chance to potentially play in a couple of weeks here, we\u2019ve tried to hammer those out and we\u2019re going to continue to do that until we find out what the results are.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ll figure it out. We\u2019re going to be ready for all of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two of the three AFC wild card games will take place Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Chargers visit the Houston Texans before the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to the Baltimore Ravens.<\/p>\n
