Deion Sanders\u00a0made his feelings known on becoming the next head coach of the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0subtly via social media on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Sanders has\u00a0been in touch\u00a0with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones regarding the team’s vacant head coaching position. While their conversation was preliminary, the idea of the Colorado skipper making the jump to Dallas appears to be\u00a0gaining traction.<\/p>\n

“Regarding Deion Sanders: I\u2019m being told that he would almost certainly accept if Jerry Jones offers to make him the next Cowboys head coach, that those around him are encouraging him to pursue it and that Jones is enamored with the idea,” veteran Cowboys reporter Ed Werder wrote on X on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Amid the swirling rumors, Sanders reposted a clip from the “KG Certified” show featuring Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to his Instagram.<\/p>\n

“You have to do that, right?”\u00a0Garnett remarks in the clip, referring to Sanders being linked to the Cowboys coaching job.<\/p>\n

“They need him in the worst way. He’s the only one who could go there,” Pierce responded.<\/p>\n

Garnett added, “This is like a player, coming from the culture who helped build the culture. No better situation bro. Deion, we hope you get that boy. Straight up. I’m not even a Cowboys fan. I’m a Deion fan.”<\/p>\n

Sanders is not the only\u00a0candidate for the job. Dallas has set up interviews with former\u00a0New York Jets\u00a0head coach Robert Saleh,\u00a0Seattle Seahawks\u00a0coordinator Leslie Frazier and\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
