There’s a clear reason why elite lefty Tanner Scott isn’t at the top of the New York Yankees’ offseason wish list.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

All indications are that the\u00a0New York Yankees<\/a>‘ top priority at this point in the offseason is\u00a0signing a left-handed reliever.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Athletic’s<\/em>\u00a0Brendan Kuty revealed in a January 15 article<\/a>\u00a0that there are\u00a0three southpaws the Yankees\u00a0<\/a>have expressed interest in.<\/p>\n

“As of Tuesday, the team\u2019s biggest priority seemed to be adding a left-handed reliever, with names such as Tim Hill, Brooks Raley and Andrew Chafin each being discussed, according to a league source,” Kuty wrote.<\/p>\n

While all three of these relievers would be great additions for the Yankees, conspicuous by his absence is Tanner Scott. During the 2024 regular season with the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres, Scott posted a 9-6 record with a 1.75 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched.<\/p>\n
