The\u00a0M<\/a>iami Dolphins<\/span>\u00a0will be the ‘home’ team when the NFL plays its first ever game in Spain next season.<\/p>\n

The historic Madrid game will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu, home of soccer giants\u00a0Real Madrid<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins’ opponents have yet to be confirmed but it marks the latest step in the NFL’s global expansion.<\/p>\n

From the 2025 season, up to eight regular season games can be held outside the United States.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Tottenham<\/span>\u00a0Hotspur Stadium in London will host two, with the\u00a0New York Jets<\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0Cleveland Browns<\/span>\u00a0confirmed as the ‘home’ teams.<\/p>\n

The NFL will also head to the Olympic stadium in Berlin for a Germany game featuring the\u00a0Indianapolis Colts<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In total, 55 regular season NFL games have been played outside the United States in recent years, with other host cities including Frankfurt, Sao Paulo and Mexico City.<\/p>\n
