The fate of the Cowboys has looked bleak without Dak Prescott.<\/p>\n

Dallas’ QB1 went down with a hamstring injury in the team’s Week 9 loss to the Falcons, and the status of his return was questionable. Cooper Rush played in his absence against the Eagles in Week 10 and produced a miserable 34-6 loss, sparking more worry for the future of the team’s season.<\/p>\n

Going into a highly anticipated matchup against the Texans on “Monday Night Football,” Prescott is still out. Will the star quarterback be back on the field again this season?<\/p>\n

Will Dak Prescott play again this season?<\/h2>\n

Prescott is out for the rest of the season, the team announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old elected to have surgery on his hamstring, effectively ending his 2024 campaign. The procedure comes with a three-month recovery timeline, which means Prescott won’t see the field again until next fall.<\/p>\n

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was among several of Prescott’s teammates to speak on the injury.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, we lost our quarterback, which is terrible and deflating,” said Lamb.<\/p>\n
