Carlos Alcaraz’s younger brother Jaime grabbed headlines, as the 13-year-old won his first qualifying match at the Les Petits As. The event, also known as the Lacoste World Championship, is one of the most significant events played on the Junior European Tour.<\/p>\n

The likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray have all played at this event before. Nadal, who became one of the icons of the sport, won the Les Petits As in 2000, winning 6-4, 6-1 over Julien Gely in the final. Other prominent winners of the event from the men’s side include Carlos Alcaraz’s coach\u00a0Juan Carlos Ferrero, who won the event in 1994.<\/p>\n

The World No. 3’s younger brother Jaime is currently participating in the International category and won his first qualifying match against Lithuania’s Erikas Balkunas 6-3, 6-2. His opponent for the next round will be Czech Republic’s Filip Sebek.<\/p>\n
