The heat appears to be turning up on\u00a0San Francisco\u00a049ers HC Kyle Shanahan after a 20-17 loss to the\u00a0Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n
The 49ers are now 5-5 and at the bottom of the NFC West after giving up a late touchdown to Seahawks QB\u00a0Geno Smith. In a season that has already had plenty of frustrating moments, the divisional loss seemed to put fans and media over the edge.<\/p>\n

Shanahan Has Tense Moment with Reporter<\/h2>\n
Cohn is well known for his outspoken approach to\u00a0the 49ers\u00a0beat, but was confronted with it by Shanahan on November 15.<\/p>\n
The reporter asked Shanahan about QB\u00a0Brock Purdy\u2019s\u00a0pre-snap process, but Shanahan was having none of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cHave I not already answered your questions that your article is already written on? Am I not giving you the right quotes? Yeah, I don\u2019t think you understand,\u201d Shanahan said per\u00a0@Our49ers. \u201cIt\u2019s not about earning more. We put as much as Brock, with double play calls, triple play calls, as anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s clear by his response (and Cohn\u2019s posts on X) that the two are not fans of each other.<\/p>\n
49ers Miss Two Challenges<\/h2>\n
San Francisco\u00a0only scored 17 points at home, which is clearly below expectations. However, one issue many people pointed out was Shanahan\u2019s wasteful challenges. On the Seahawks\u2019 last two drives, Shanahan threw the challenge flag twice and both times lost on the call.<\/p>\n
ESPN radio host Rob Guerrera called Shanahan out after the second failure.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 49ers had to be SURE that that wasn\u2019t a catch in order to challenge that. The timeout is invaluable,\u201d\u00a0Guerrera wrote on X.<\/p>\n
