Feels like one of those pro football storylines that you can\u2019t help but root for\u2026 Only to see, it keeps falling short. Lamar\u2019s closest shot came in the 2023 season when the\u00a0Ravens<\/strong>\u00a0made it to the AFC Championship. But the\u00a0Chiefs<\/strong>, as always, played spoiler.<\/p>\n

This year? It looked like\u00a0maybe<\/em>\u00a0Lamar\u2019s time had come. After the Ravens knocked out the Steelers, Smith threw some light-hearted shade at Queen.\u00a0\u201cAll that is, is talk, and the game is played for a reason,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Roquan said, taking a jab at Queen\u2019s earlier comments.\u00a0\u201cI think I remember my guy \u2018PQ\u2019 saying \u2026 I think the last time we played them, it was a hat and T-shirt [game], but I guess he\u2019s got the T-shirt he has on. A video was making the rounds on X where Ravens players are giving their thoughts on Lamar Jackson\u2019s new cologne. One player tried to figure out how to describe the scent, asking himself,\u00a0\u201cWhat\u2019s it smell like?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0And just as he\u2019s pondering, a teammate in the background throws some shade at Pickens.\u00a0\u201cSmells like George Pickens. But wait, of course Queen had to respond. The 2020 first-round Ravens pick turned Steelers linebacker has been taking shots at his old squad all season. From claiming the grass was greener on Pittsburgh\u2019s side to more general trash talk, Queen\u2019s quickly gone from beloved teammate to full-fledged villain in Baltimore. So, obviously when the\u00a0Bills\u00a0completed his dirty job, he clapped back.<\/p>\n

Here we are again.\u00a0Lamar Jackson, so close, yet so far. After their 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Lamar was right back at the podium, facing those all-too-familiar questions about coming up short in the postseason.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m tired of being right there,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he said, frustration in his voice.\u00a0\u201cWe need to punch it in. We have to get right in the offseason.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like clockwork. Each year, Lamar\u2019s the MVP-caliber quarterback, but the Ravens can\u2019t seem to land that final blow.\u00a0Jackson went 3-5 in the playoffs after that tough loss, and you know fans are asking: when will it finally happen?<\/a>\u00a0Hmm\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n
