In 2020, he gave $1.1 million to Trump&#8217;s fund.<\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0USA Today story at the time, Jones told a reporter he supports the GOP &#8220;to kick the asses of people like you.\u201d Asked another time about his party of choice, Jones explained &#8220;That\u2019s how the country should be run, but don\u2019t (bleep) with me, all right?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Says the\u00a0Front Office Sports story,\u00a0&#8220;A spokesperson for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed to\u00a0<em>Front Office Sports\u00a0<\/em>that he donated to the inaugural committee. Most records of donors to the inauguration will be available later this spring.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jones isn&#8217;t alone in local owners supporting Republicans as new\u00a0Dallas Mavericks\u00a0owner Miriam Adelson is also on the list of franchise leaders contributing to Trump&#8217;s inauguration.
