The\u00a0Boston Red Sox<\/a>\u00a0entered the offseason looking to improve. They’ve done so with the additions of Garrett Crochet and others, but they need more.<\/p>\n

Alex Bregman<\/a>\u00a0could be an option, but with him still on the market, it’s uncertain if the Red Sox will ever get a deal done for the two-time World Series champion.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Boston could look to save money and spend elsewhere.\u00a0Vladimir Guerrero Jr<\/a>. is set to hit the free agency market next winter if the\u00a0Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> don’t extend him.<\/p>\n

Guerrero is someone the Red Sox are interested in, and there’s an outside chance it could be impacting who they’re looking to sign right now.<\/p>\n

However, according to\u00a0Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic<\/a>, she doesn’t believe that’s playing any role in Boston not landing\u00a0Nolan Arenado<\/a>\u00a0or Bregman.<\/p>\n
