Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert has no qualms with the comments Tyreek Hill made after the team\u2019s Week 18 loss. While the star wide receiver told reporters he was\u00a0\u201copening the door\u201d to leave Miami, Mostert says it\u2019s nothing he\u2019s too concerned about.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t take it personal because I know the type of competitor that he is,\u201d Mostert said Wednesday in\u00a0an interview on Sirius XM Radio. \u201cI do, however, feel like you shouldn\u2019t ever quit on a team. That\u2019s just because we\u2019re all bleeding out there. But when you\u2019re a competitor and you\u2019re just so fed up with how the year has gone for yourself and gone for the team and gone for the organization, at some point, you do have that breaking point.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not faulting him for his actions or anything like that. He does have a right to feel that way. He does have a right to feel discouraged about how the season went, about how he played. \u2026 He just wants to win in Miami. He was just fed up at that moment, just like everybody else was \u2014 they just didn\u2019t have the courage to say it like he did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier told reporters that they met with Hill and emphasized that quitting on the team\u00a0\u201cwon\u2019t be tolerated in the future.\u201d They also said the receiver \u201cembraced accountability\u201d for his actions. Hill\u2019s agent said that his client is\u00a0\u201ccommitted to the Dolphins.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Hill defended his comments in a Twitch stream, telling his viewers,\u00a0\u201cI deserve to feel like that\u201d\u00a0after the Dolphins\u2019 8-9 finish in 2024.<\/p>\n

It wouldn\u2019t be a surprise if Mostert has already played his last game in Miami. The veteran running back will turn 33 in April and the team can save just under $3 million by cutting him this offseason.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
