The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0and\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0provided their first injury report of the week on Wednesday. The Eagles and Chiefs are set to play on Sunday for the Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second-year defensive tackle Jalen Carter is dealing with an illness this week. The former Georgia standout was a limited participant on Wednesday and did not speak to the media as scheduled earlier Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs listed three players on their injury report, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Last week, the Chiefs listed Mahomes\u00a0on the injury report\u00a0for the same ankle injury he\u2019s been dealing with since Kansas City\u2019s 21-7 win over the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chiefs rested Mahomes in Week 18 and had the benefit of a bye in the wild card round, but he\u2019s been on the injury report throughout the playoffs. So far, the injury has not appeared to affect his play.<\/span><\/p>\n
