The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0were without their second-round pick during Sunday\u2019s 30-21 loss to the\u00a0Buffalo Bills\u00a0at Highmark Stadium. The Chiefs chose to make offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia a healthy scratch against their AFC rival.<\/span>Advertisement<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Suamatia, a standout for the BYU Cougars, has appeared in nine games, starting in two games. Per\u00a0Pro Football Focus<\/em>, the 21-year-old has earned a\u00a036.8 overall grade\u00a0for his play in 2024. He\u2019s played in 162 offensive snaps. In his 106 pass-blocking snaps, Suamataia has surrendered three sacks, five hits, and 13 total pressures.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Per Pete Sweeney with\u00a0Arrowhead Pride<\/em>, head coach Andy Reid\u00a0said\u00a0Tuesday that the rookie was ok, but that he needed to take a step back.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second-year offensive lineman Wanya Morris played at left tackle against the Bills. He gave up two hurries and had a penalty on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Reid suggested the Chiefs could look to add a veteran for the offensive line this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as a veteran players goes, [general manager Brett] Veach is always keeping his eyes open.,\u201d Reid said. \u201cHe would be the one that heads that up, and he obviously bird-dogs all that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
