Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is riding high on yet another trip to the Super Bowl, but he’s in trouble with the NFL.<\/p>\n

While Kelce and the Chiefs were able to shut down the\u00a0Buffalo Bills<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday, January 26, and secure their road to the big game, the win came with a few bumps.<\/p>\n

Now, the NFL is punishing Kelce for a move he made during the Bills game, but one of the Bills players is being punished in the incident, too. The Chiefs win the game with a\u00a032-29 final score<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce Gets Hit With Gameday Accountability<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Those who watched the Chiefs vs. Bills game witnessed a bit of an on field beef between players. Following quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0leading the team to a\u00a021-10 lead towards the end<\/a>\u00a0of the second quarter,\u00a0Kelce appeared to<\/a>\u00a0get up in the faces of two Bills players. Phillips got involved by walking over to Kelce and bumping him with his facemask.<\/p>\n

After that play, Phillips was the only player who received a flag, which got some Bills fans heated. But, now, both Kelce and Bill are being punished for the incident by the NFL.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0NFL Football Operations<\/a>, Phillips is being fined $6,722 by the NFL for \u201cunnecessary roughness (use of the helmet).\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce is\u00a0also being fined<\/a>\u00a0for his role in the incident, and the NFL has slapped him with a $11,255 fine for \u201cunsportsmanlike conduct (taunting).\u201d<\/p>\n

Bills linebacker Matt Milano was also fined $11,255 for \u201cunnecessary roughness (facemask)\u201d in the fourth quarter of the matchup.<\/p>\n

In the end, what matters to Chiefs fans, and probably Kelce, is that the team is in the Super Bowl. They\u2019ll take on the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Super Bowl LIX<\/a>\u00a0on February 9 in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs Are Ready for the Big Game<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Chiefs know that the Eagles aren\u2019t likely to be an easy opponent in Super Bowl LIX. Speaking to the press during his postgame press conference at Arrowhead, Reid was asked whether trying to snag a\u00a0three-peat<\/a>\u00a0is \u201cmotivating\u201d for his team. He actually disagreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think \u2018motivation\u2019 is the wrong word, or I\u2019m gonna just change that for you. I would tell you we\u2019re motivated like crazy to win the game,\u201d\u00a0Reid said<\/a>. \u201cI mean, that\u2019s what you\u2019re motivated to do. You get caught up in that other stuff, all the hype that goes with it, and then you forget about 3rd and 1 and detailing that \u2014 either side of the ball. So you\u2019ve got to keep everything in perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the game, Mahomes also spoke about the team\u2019s historic run. Chatting with NFL analyst and expert Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, he\u00a0talked about what this win means<\/a>\u00a0to the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe dealt with so much adversity at the beginning of the year, and we just kept winning,\u201d\u00a0Mahomes told Breer<\/a>. \u201cWe found ways to win at the end of the day.
