While the offseason moves for the New York Yankees are likely over, it didn\u2019t stop one prominent MLB insider from speculating about the team pursuing a player that may be the top one available next offseason.<\/p>\n

After reaching the World Series in October, they had one goal in the fall in winter. Improve the team so they can better compete with the Los Angeles Dodgers and win it all in 2025. However, the team got off to a rough start when they lost the massive bidding war for All-Star outfielder Juan Soto.<\/p>\n

Yet, the club bounced back in a major way following Soto\u2019s departure to the New York Mets. They bolstered the pitching staff by signing All-Star Max Fried and trading for elite closer Devin Williams. Then they improved their defense and lineup by adding former NL MVPs Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt. Many around the game believe the team is better now than they were in October.<\/p>\n
