Micah Parsons has no intentions of leaving the Dallas Cowboys, but he has made clear his preferred destination if those plans change.<\/div>\n

More than any player in recent history, Micah Parsons has clamored for his intentions to be a Dallas Cowboy. Whether that be through his staunch defense of his Cowboys’ colleagues or his strong verbal commitments to the franchise itself.<\/p>\n

Supplementing his convincing words is the evidence on the field. Specifically during the 2024 season, Parsons’ refusal to punt on the season sparked a mini rally toward the end that helped reshape the outlook on the season if only slightly.<\/p>\n

Parsons want to contribute to winning and wants that to happen at The Star. Based on reporting from\u00a0NFL.com\u00a0<\/a>earlier on Sunday, there is at least a possibility that his bosses could potentially think otherwise.<\/p>\n

While these are the hottest that the trade speculations have gotten around Parsons, nothing has shifted his attitude toward the team in his four years with the Cowboys. Yet, the state of the modern NFL has made remaining in the same place for an extended period more of a challenge for non quarterbacks.<\/p>\n

If somehow Parsons becomes available down the line, he wants nothing more than a homecoming to Pennsylvania to join the\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>.\u00a0“I said if I ever returned home, it was going to Pittsburgh,” Parsons said during\u00a0Super Bowl<\/a>\u00a0week.<\/p>\n

Part of that reasoning rests in Parsons desire to play for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, also making them a clear choice over the in-state foe\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>. Nonetheless the former\u00a0Penn State<\/a>\u00a0Nittany Lion would want to be back home if forced out of Dallas.<\/p>\n

But the Cowboys remain front of mind for the defensive star. Parsons is due a contract extension this offseason, an objective that he and Cowboys fans hope to have achieved before the start of the 2025 regular season.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Based on the way extension talks drew out with Dak Prescott and\u00a0CeeDee Lamb<\/a>\u00a0last offseason though, the process may not be as seamless as some would hope for a player among the best on his side of the ball.<\/p>\n

So perhaps a homecoming could be in his future if the Cowboys suddenly seek out a drastic change. However, is reason holds and Parsons gets what he wants, he will call The Star home for a long time.<\/p>\n
