Not only was quarterback Patrick Mahomes sacked six times, but he was relentlessly pressured by the Philadelphia Eagles in a 40-22 blowout loss. Worse yet for Mahomes and the Chiefs, Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio didn\u2019t need to call a single blitz the entire game, as Philadelphia\u2019s defensive line obliterated the Chiefs\u2019 offensive line.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re seeing that the Eagles have the defensive line to expose how bad Kansas City\u2019s offensive line is,\u201d\u00a0a veteran NFL scout told me during the game. \u201cThuney is\u00a0struggling<\/em>, and so is Jawan Taylor, they could call holding on him every single snap.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the NFL offseason gets underway, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach is going to need to prioritize significant help along the offensive line both during free agency and throughout this spring\u2019s upcoming NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs Linked to Ravens Offensive Tackle Ronnie Stanley<\/h2>\n

It would be unfathomable for the Chiefs to open the 2025 regular season with Joe Thuney and Jawaan Taylor at offensive tackle.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Fortunately for Veach and the Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley could hit the open market, and Pro Football Focus suggests Kansas City could be an ideal fit for the All-Pro.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The Chiefs] have questions to answer at multiple spots on the offensive line,\u201d\u00a0Dalton Wasserman writes for PFF. \u201cNo more so than at left tackle. A sensible veteran replacement could be Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who finished this season with an outstanding 84.1 PFF pass-blocking grade on true pass sets. That was the fifth-best mark by any qualified tackle this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat production contrasts harshly with what Kansas City got from its left tackle spot this season, ranking last in PFF pass-blocking grade and pressure rate allowed. They could still add pieces in the draft, but signing Stanley would at least give them a short-term fix at a position that is currently their biggest weakness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Signing Stanley doesn\u2019t just have the potential to be a missing piece for the Chiefs, who are suddenly looking at retooling the roster, but would be a significant blow to their AFC rivals.<\/p>\n
