\u201cIt\u2019s been a special run, just with everybody here in Kansas City from the organization to the community, from the team and from my family,\u201d Mahomes, 29, said in a Saturday, January 18,\u00a0press conference. \u201cI just try to cherish that. I still remember moments from the World Series my dad, [Patrick Sr.<\/strong>], played when I was 5 years old. So, these are moments I\u2019ll have with my family for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick and his wife,\u00a0Brittany Mahomes<\/strong>, are parents to daughter Sterling, 3, son Bronze, 2, and newborn daughter Golden, 1 week. (Brittany, 29,\u00a0brought their eldest kids\u00a0to Saturday\u2019s game.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a growing family, but [I] hope we are done growing for a little while,\u201d Patrick joked. \u201cIt\u2019s cool that I\u2019m able to play in these big games and the Kansas City community has brought me in to be a part of their family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick, the Chiefs\u2019 starting quarterback, led the Missouri football team to a victory on Saturday over the Houston Texans. The Chiefs\u2019 win in the divisional playoffs solidified their place in the AFC Championship later this month. Of course, the AFC title winner \u2014 the Chiefs will play either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills \u2014 will go on to the\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0in February.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Saturday\u2019s game, Patrick received a lucky sideline kiss from Brittany. The mom-of-three\u00a0wore a beige coat\u00a0emblazoned with Patrick\u2019s \u201cNo. 15\u201d on the pockets alongside a cream sweater and red trousers.<\/p>\n

One week earlier, Brittany\u00a0gave birth to daughter Golden\u00a0during the Chiefs\u2019 bye week. (The team secured a first-round bye before the playoffs after earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC and home field advantage.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe went back and forth [on the name] for a while,\u201d Brittany\u00a0told\u00a0Today\u00a0<\/em>before her delivery. \u201cBut the one we settled on, we really, really love.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Brittany also gushed about Sterling and Bronze\u2019s reactions to their baby sister.\"Patrick<\/p>\n

\u201cAll [Bronze] says is \u2018I want baby sissy,\u2019 and then he\u2019ll ask to see my stomach,\u201d Brittany recalled. \u201cAlthough I\u2019m not sure if it\u2019s registered that an actual human is coming. And Sterling is completely obsessed. She loves to play with babies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick\u2019s relatives have also been over the moon since Golden\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n
