Fans Saddened for Patrick Mahomes’ Family After Devastating News<\/h1>\n

In the days before the\u00a0Super Bowl,\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Patrick\u00a0Mahomes’ mother, Randi, revealed her father, Patrick’s grandfather, Randy, was “hanging on” to see him play.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks before, Randi revealed her father was moved into hospice care and has dealt with bad days in recent weeks. “The one thing that he remembers” is when the Super Bowl is, Randi said at the time. “I know that it has meant a lot to him,” she said. “And I think he’s hanging on because he wants to see his grandson do an amazing thing or just let him play.”<\/p>\n

“I mean, he must be such a proud grandpa, so proud. And my mom was very proud and his other grandparents (were, too).”<\/p>\n

On Friday afternoon the Mahomes family received the devastating news that Randy passed away. “Hard to find the words of holding my fathers hand as he goes to Heaven. I know he\u2019s in a better place. I love you daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant!Matthew 25:23,”\u00a0Mahomes’ mother wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Fans were saddened for the Mahomes family.<\/p>\n

“Prayers to you and your family during this time. Praying \ud83d\ude4f,” one person said.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so sorry sweet, Randi. My heart hurts for you. I\u2019ve never felt so broken after losing my Mom. I\u2019m praying for you and your family, and I\u2019m also grateful He is with Jesus and that you WILL see him again. There are no words to describe saying goodbye.
