Travis Kelce<\/span>\u00a0was suffering from a ‘pretty big illness’ ahead of the\u00a0Super Bowl<\/span>, Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach has sensationally revealed.<\/p>\n

Kelce struggled in\u00a0New Orleans<\/span>\u00a0as\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City was badly beaten by the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The tight end failed to make much impact on the game as the Chiefs’ hopes of a\u00a0 historic three-peat went up in smoke.<\/p>\n

Kelce came under scrutiny for his performance and the Chiefs star\u00a0even teased possible retirement following the loss<\/span>.<\/p>\n

But on Tuesday, Veach explained that the 35-year-old had been sick in the lead up to the game in New Orleans.<\/p>\n

‘We’re never going to make excuses and talk about it but he was battling with a pretty big illness before the Super Bowl,’\u00a0he told NFL Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n
