However, his performances in the outfield are only getting worse. The more you watch the play, the more it truly seems like Dom\u00ednguez just didn&#8217;t read the ball&#8217;s trajectory correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Giancarlo Stanton doesn&#8217;t appear to be returning to the team any time soon due to personal reasons and dealing with tennis elbow in both elbows. This could allow the Yankees to slot him in as the designated hitter every night and continue to develop him in the field.<\/p>\n<p>But does his bat even justify that?<\/p>\n<p>Dom\u00ednguez has one hit in seven at-bats so far this spring. He hit .179 in 56 at-bats last season with the Yankees.
