The homes of Mahomes and Kelce were both burglarized just hours apart last month.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs\u2019 season has gone along about as easily as possible, a few injuries aside, with Kansas City starting the year 9-1.<\/p>\n

However, Mahomes and Kelce were both victimized on the same night as the Chiefs quarterback\u2019s home was the subject of an attempted burglary on Oct. 6, while Kelce\u2019s home got him hours later on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n

Fast forward to over a month later, and now authorities are reportedly closing in on suspects responsible for the recent high-end burglaries targeting the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0stars.<\/p>\n

The FBI has been investigating the incidents, and according to Fox, they believe that the thieves are part of a wider underworld organization.<\/p>\n

Fox4\u00a0reported\u00a0the burglaries targeting Kelce and Mahomes were orchestrated by a \u201cSouth American crime ring\u201d that has targeted similarly high-end homes.<\/p>\n

The report suggested Kelce and Mahomes could be just two victims in a \u2018calculated\u2019 spree that has also targeted athletes near Minneapolis and Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a sophisticated operation. It\u2019s not some guy that\u2019s going down to the local pawn shop,\u201d security expert Mike Barbieri said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t surprise me at all that this crime spree that is going across the entire country is designed by some very sophisticated people in somewhat of a cartel,\u201d he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notably, Taylor Swift was in the Kansas City area with Kelce that same weekend his home got broken into.<\/p>\n

Kelce\u2019s birthday was Oct. 5, so Swift threw him a private party on Oct. 6. The pop star also attended the Chiefs\u2019 win over the Saints the following day.<\/p>\n

Despite the distraction off the field, the Chiefs won 26-13 over the Saints.<\/p>\n

Patrick Mahomes Reportedly Made Moves To Ensure Home is Secure After He And Travis Kelce Was Burglarized<\/h2>\n

Patrick Mahomes\u2019 Belton, Missouri estate was broken into on October 6, just hours before\u00a0Travis Kelce\u2019s own burglary at his Leawood, Kansas home.<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce reportedly lost around $100,000 in jewelry, including his first-ever\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0jersey.<\/p>\n

Mahomes reportedly had a number of valuable items stolen, including jerseys, medals, trophies, and awards.<\/p>\n

Following the burglaries, the Chiefs QB reportedly made sure nothing like this would happen again.<\/p>\n
