Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have made a final decision in an effort to keep their family as safe as possible.<\/p>\n

Being the franchise quarterback for one of the most winning teams in the NFL, the\u00a0K<\/a>ansas City Chiefs, comes with its perks, but it also comes with some negatives. Just ask\u00a0Patrick Mahomes. While he\u2019s one of the most admired quarterbacks of his era, Mahomes is so high-profile that it goes without saying that he has to look out for the safety of his family.<\/p>\n

Now, Patrick\u2019s wife, Brittany Mahomes, is speaking out about their new baby and sharing what they\u2019re doing to keep their family safe.<\/p>\n

Chiefs\u2019 Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Keeping Their Family Safe<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On Tuesday, March 4, Brittany Mahomes\u00a0took to her Instagram story\u00a0to share a video of a baby. Since the couple has a new baby,\u00a0Golden Raye, some fans understandably thought this was the first photo of their new little one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller,\u201d Brittany said in a new post, adding, \u201cYou can\u2019t see her and won\u2019t for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, Brittany said that the baby in the bouncer is actually\u00a0trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek\u2018s infant, Makoa.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time the Mahomes family has decided to keep their littles ones private. While the two often share photos on social media of their older children \u2013 daughter Sterling, 4, and son Bronze, 2 \u2013 they didn\u2019t at first.<\/p>\n

Back in 2021, when Brittany had Sterling, she told her Instagram followers she and Mahomes were only planning to \u201cshare photos of her when we [feel] the time is right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know the Internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere so just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world,\u201d she stated at the time,\u00a0according to E! News. \u201cRight now we are just soaking in every minute with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking Ahead to the New Kansas City Chiefs Season<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While losing the Super Bowl to the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0hurt, pun intended with\u00a0Jalen Hurts, Mahomes has said that he\u2019s still proud of his team. That will mean something going into the new season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was proud of how my team fought this entire season with the expectations that we had on us,\u201d\u00a0Mahomes said following the Super Bowl loss. \u201cBut we did, we came up short.\u201d<\/p>\n

In that same press conference,\u00a0he added, \u201cIt\u2019s going to hurt for a while, but how can you respond from it? \u2026 And how can you get better? How can you not be satisfied with just getting here and taking your game to the next level?\u201d<\/p>\n

Mahomes is\u00a0under contract through 2031\u00a0on a\u00a0special 10-year deal.\u00a0Chiefs owner Clark Hunt says that having Mahomes in it for the long haul gives him hope for the franchise.<\/p>\n
