The\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0have reportedly made a decision on visiting the White House after receiving an invitation from President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

According to a report from John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Eagles have \u201caccepted an invite to visit\u201d President Trump at the White House\u00a0to celebrate their\u00a0Super Bowl 59\u00a0championship.<\/p>\n

Clark added that a date has yet to be determined. But after weeks of conflicting reports about the Philadelphia Eagles deciding not to go, it appears\u00a0Nick Sirianni\u2019s squad is happy to attend after all.<\/p>\n

In 2018, President Trump rescinded the invitation to the White House for the Super Bowl 52 champion Eagles after several players stated they would not attend. Unlike most other NFL owners, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie has also been a vocal critic of Trump.<\/p>\n

The only four Eagles players who played on both championship teams were: Defensive end Brandon Graham, kicker Jake Elliott, offensive tackle Lane Johnson and long snapper Rick Lovato.<\/p>\n

The coaching staff is significantly different from the Super Bowl 52 championship squad, too, with HC Doug Pederson being shown the door four years ago. GM Howie Roseman was also in the chair when the Eagles won it all seven years ago.<\/p>\n

Championship-winning teams at the professional and NCAA ranks in the United States are traditionally invited to the White House. Aside from the Eagles, the 2016-17 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors also had their invitations rescinded by Trump when several players said they wouldn\u2019t go.<\/p>\n
