Jim Harbaugh will finally get to coach against his brother John Harbaugh for the first time in many years. This is one of the best storylines of the week, and it has not been spoken about enough. It is so rare for brothers to play against each other, but even more rare to see two brothers coaching against each other.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Baltimore Ravens\u00a0will face the\u00a0Los Angeles Chargers\u00a0this week, and it is not only one of the best games of the year, but it will mark the first time these brothers coach against each other since they last did in Super Bowl XLVII.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jim Harbaugh Opens Up About Facing His Brother<\/h2>\n

This brotherly matchup should dominate the conversation before the brothers face each other for the first time since the Super Bowl, but Jim wanted to steer the conversation to a different place when asked about how he feels about facing his brother.<\/p>\n

<\/span>When Jim was asked about how he had been feeling before the huge matchup, he tried to divert the attention away from John and himself and focus his attention on these two great teams that were going to face each other. Both the Ravens and Chargers are trying to make their playoff push, and they are both two of the best teams in the AFC this season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jim is locked in on getting the win, and he doesn\u2019t want to make it about him:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about the two teams. It\u2019s about those who are coaching and those who are playing,\u201d Harbaugh\u00a0told reporters\u00a0(h\/t\u00a0NFL.com). I\u2019m sure he doesn\u2019t want to make it about him. I don\u2019t want to make it about me. It is what it is. Big game, for sure. Two teams having at it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Back in 2013, the last time the brothers faced off, John got all the bragging rights by winning the Super Bowl in a 34-31 victory. There have got to be some personal bragging rights involved in coaching against your brother, and while Jim can say that this is just another game, it is not. Now, 12 years later the brothers will finally face off again.<\/p>\n

<\/span>While Jim has been candid about how tough it was to lose the Super Bowl, after time of reflection he is only happy for his brother and best friend:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter some time and reflection went by, it\u2019s my brother,\u201d Jim said. \u201cIt\u2019s my best friend. Really proud of him. Really happy for his success. It was earned.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Chargers have been looking amazing under Jim\u2019s first year of leadership with one of the best defenses and run games in the NFL. Specifically, the Chargers have the best scoring defense in the league and are looking better than they have in a long time.<\/p>\n

The Ravens are also one of the best teams in the league at 7-4 and they are coming off a brutal loss to their division rivals. This is going to be a huge matchup on Monday night, as both teams really need this win to keep their playoff hopes alive.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The winner of this game will be looking very strong heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Jim, however, will not let football ever get in the way of their relationship:<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody can have a better brother,\u201d Jim said. \u201cI may be biased in that way. I love my brother \u2026 He\u2019s just a great example-setter. He\u2019s a great son. He\u2019s a great husband. He\u2019s a great father and a great brother.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

NFL fans will be treated to an incredible game and story line on Monday night!<\/span><\/p>\n
