Most would agree that Mark Andrews and the Baltimore Ravens had a good season in 2024, winning 12 games. However, many felt the Ravens were capable of accomplishing so much more, including a Super Bowl victory.<\/p>\n

Yet, their season came to a screeching halt when Andrews, a sure-handed seven-year veteran who\u00a0dropped just three passes\u00a0all year, couldn\u2019t come up with a two-point conversion pass attempt from Lamar Jackson in Baltimore\u2019s playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

The way the season ended, coupled with Isaiah Likely\u2019s emerging presence, led some to wonder if Andrews\u2019 days in Baltimore were numbered. It didn\u2019t help that Andrews had a sizable $4 million roster bonus due on March 16. Yet, now the Ravens have made a decision on Andrews for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

The Baltimore Ravens had a 24 hour window to decide whether they should pay out Mark Andrews\u2019 $4 million roster bonus, which took place between Saturday and Sunday. This time crunch came as no surprise, yet deadlines typically spur action. Not in this case.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Athletic\u2019s Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec, Baltimore has picked up Andrews\u2019 contract option for the 2025 season. Thus, barring a contract adjustment, Andrews will hold a $16.9 million cap hit this year. It\u2019s the exact same amount Baltimore paid him in 2024 when the one-time All-Pro tight end recorded 673 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

However, just because the Ravens exercised Andrews\u2019 contract option, it doesn\u2019t guarantee he\u2019ll still be on the roster when the season starts. According to Zrebiec, the Ravens may still consider \u201clegitimate\u201d trade offers for their 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler.<\/p>\n
