But the question remains, when will\u00a0<strong>Jerry Jones\u00a0<\/strong>finally come out and pay his team\u2019s star pass rusher the money?<\/p>\n<p>Parsons prefers to talk as little about his contract as possible but remains rooted in the idea that he will eventually\u00a0see the green\u00a0soon enough. I think if I had $40 million, I\u2019d be the happiest man alive. Last year he played on a base salary of $2.989 million and is scheduled to play in 2025 on the fifth-year option of $24.07 million.<\/p>\n<p>The issue is the Cowboys haven\u2019t started the negotiations even though there were murmurs that they held initial talks.
