The annual league meetings have fed\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0fans endless soundbites and remarks from the men up top, Jerry and Stephen Jones, about the team’s offseason.<\/p>\n

One of their the last major plans is signing star linebacker Micah Parsons to a contract extension … the same contract that has been in the works for months.<\/p>\n

In Jerry’s last statement about the topic, he didn’t say much to help Dallas’ cause on getting a deal done soon.<\/p>\n

Jones offered a disrespectful “jab” at Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, saying he didn’t even know his name.<\/p>\n

This is because Jerry does things his own way. He’s been quoted saying he has been in\u00a0direct<\/em>\u00a0contact with his defensive star.<\/p>\n

So direct, that he said Micah is one of just a few people with his personal cell phone number … but that Micah asked for it.<\/p>\n

It’s clear they have had private meetings (without agents) regarding the contract, but Jones will likely regret the comment made about the highly-respected Mulugheta.<\/p>\n

Parsons fired back on social media and gave a definitive stance on the negotiation and his agent.<\/p>\n

“David is the best and I will not be doing any deal without (Mulugheta) involved! … There is no one I trust more when it comes to negotiating contracts than David! There will be no backdoors in this contract negotiation,” Parsons said.<\/p>\n

Now the internet is buzzing about Parsons’ views toward the Cowboys’ front office. This bait has called many analysts to throw out hot takes on Micah’s future in Dallas.<\/p>\n

The latest message comes from former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 2 overall pick, Robert Griffin III, now a freelance analyst.<\/p>\n

“If Micah Parsons wants to win AND get paid, he should demand a trade from the Dallas Cowboys,”\u00a0Griffin wrote on X.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys, as frustrating as they may be to work with, will be equipped with quality talent and a fresh coaching staff to be ready to win games in 2025 with Parsons as the leader of the bunch.<\/p>\n

And he’s going to get his money. That’s a given.<\/p>\n

His temper may be hot, but we highly doubt this idea from RGIII is going to get anywhere close to the head of Parsons.<\/p>\n

Micah has stated numerous times how he wants to stay in Dallas, and would even take a pay cut that doesn’t make him the highest priced non-quarterback\u00a0if it helps the team.<\/p>\n

This contract is nearly finished, anyway. Jones stated this week that “most of the issues” regarding Parsons’ deal are in agreement. See below.<\/p>\n

The problem? Mulugheta feels uninvolved, so it’ll be Micah who must connect the two parties.<\/p>\n
