Following an embarrassing series of events, Jones was released by the New York Giants on Friday, and Dallas didn\u2019t waste any time\u00a0adding\u00a0him to their depth chart:<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The quarterback reportedly asked to be released by the team after being demoted to the third-string quarterback but taking reps at fourth-string before being deployed as a safety in training.<\/p>\n

Jones curiously\u00a0appeared on the Dallas Cowboys\u2019 official website\u00a0as a quarterback about an hour after he was cut.<\/p>\n

The link has since been deleted, but it suggests he could end up in Dallas. The Cowboys are in desperate need of a quarterback following\u00a0Dak Prescott\u2019s season-ending injury and could be the perfect team for Jones to make an attempt at resurrecting his career.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
