One of those the team has brought in for a pre-draft private visit is Colorado’s\u00a0Shedeur Sanders.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Peter Schrager revealed some of the details about Sanders’ visit to Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

“He had a really good meeting with the Pittsburgh last week, and that lasted like five hours,\u201d Schrager said. \u201cHe met with Arthur Smith. He met with Mike Tomlin. He went around the facility. That, to me, seems like a good backstop. If worse comes to worst for Sheduer, 21 would be a really nice place for him to go. It would be a really good situation considering the weapons, the organization, the culture, the city.”<\/p>\n

As Sanders’ draft stock has somehow fallen over the past month, it’s possible, however unlikely, that he falls to No. 21 to the Steelers’ first pick.<\/p>\n

Sanders also commented on the visit and said he was impressed with the team’s leadership.<\/p>\n

“You understand the mindset and why they win a lot,”\u00a0Sanders said.\u00a0\u201cYou see how [Tomlin] is as a person and the values the team has. What he preaches from his staff down is similar to my dad.”<\/p>\n

If Sanders falls to the Steelers at No. 21, that would mean other teams in need of a\u00a0quarterback\u00a0would’ve passed on him earlier in the first round.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0New Orleans Saints,\u00a0New York Giants\u00a0and\u00a0Cleveland Browns\u00a0are all looking for a franchise guy under center.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Tennessee Titans\u00a0have the first pick and are expected to choose Miami’s\u00a0Cam Ward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
