Taylor Swift<\/span>\u00a0fans are totally baffled after a throwback video revealed the unusual way in which she holds a pencil.<\/p>\n

The resurfaced footage was recorded in 2006 when the 35-year-old singer was just 16, and showed how she navigated life as a sophomore at Hendersonville High School.<\/p>\n

Speaking in the video, Taylor shared insight into how she manages to balance her songwriting with her schoolwork.<\/p>\n

‘Usually when I’m at school, a song will just pop into my head,’ she said. ‘Sitting there in class and getting a melody and lyrics just coming to you\u2026<\/p>\n

‘I’ll pull out my cell phone and make a voice memo and people think I’m crazy talking to myself. I feel something, I filter it into a song.’<\/p>\n

Taylor also spoke about her friendships, sharing that her close pals were ‘extremely supportive.’<\/p>\n

‘We hang out as much as possible,’ she continued. ‘When I’m not working, I’m with them.<\/p>\n

‘They know all the words to my songs. They really just support me as a person and as am artist. They’re all just beautiful to me and I love them.’<\/p>\n

The singer was seen holding a pencil in between her index finger and middle finger<\/p>\n

But others weren’t so critical and were even willing to give Taylor’s method a go.<\/p>\n

‘Has anyone else tried holding a pen like she does?’ asked one. ‘I am going to try it for my next exam, does it make handwriting easier?’<\/p>\n

NASCAR driver Josh Berry went to the same school as Taylor and recently shaded her boyfriend, Travis Kelce<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Taylor’s odd pen grip previously made waves in 2022 when she was seen writing in the music video for her hit song Anti-Hero.<\/p>\n

Last week, Taylor’s former high school classmate and NASCAR driver\u00a0Josh Berry shaded her boyfriend<\/span>, Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

Josh and Taylor both attended Henderson High School in Henderson, Tennessee, with Taylor transferring out after her sophomore year due to her music career taking off and opting to be home schooled.<\/p>\n

While Josh did not directly know the multi-award winner, he had mutual connections with her due to walking the same halls at one time despite being in different grades.<\/p>\n

‘It’s one of those things when you’re doing an interview one day and somebody’s like, ‘Hey, what’s a funny, crazy story about you?” he said on the Rubbin’ Is Racing podcast.<\/p>\n

‘I’m like, “Oh, I went to school with Taylor Swift.” You don’t think that’s that big of a deal. But good gosh, man. It never ends.’<\/p>\n
