The Kansas City Chiefs felt what it\u2019s like to get humiliated in the Super Bowl for the second time in the last five years.\u00a0 The Tampa Bay Buccaneers demolished the Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV, while the Philadelphia Eagles did the same in 2025.<\/p>\n

Kansas City knows that a few roster moves will be necessary to re-cement themselves atop of the NFL World.\u00a0 One of those moves could be coming in the next few days.<\/p>\n

Following a humiliating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, the Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly\u00a0considering\u00a0a blockbuster move in next week\u2019s NFL Draft:<\/p>\n

Andy Reid\u00a0and the Chiefs hold the No. 31 selection in the 2025\u00a0NFL\u00a0Draft, with the Super Bowl champion Eagles slated to close out round one with the No. 32 pick. But if the Chiefs get their way, they\u2019ll pick earlier than 31st.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN\u2019s Matt Miller,\u00a0Kansas City is\u00a0\u201cactively looking to trade up in Round 1.\u201d Miller reports that if the Chiefs were to move up, it would \u201clikely be for a long-term offensive tackle,\u201d specifically to get ahead of the Houston Texans and Los Angeles Rams:<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve heard that the Kansas City Chiefs are actively looking to trade up in Round 1. They signed left tackle Jaylon Moore in free agency but were otherwise quiet, opting to re-sign their own versus hitting the open market. A move up in Round 1 would likely be for a long-term offensive tackle solution; I heard the goal would be to move in front of the Houston Texans (No. 25) and Los Angeles Rams (No. 26) if the Chiefs like a specific left tackle still on the board.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs moved up in round one of last year\u2019s draft, obtaining the No. 28 pick from the Buffalo Bills to select speedy wideout Xavier Worthy. The Bills got the No. 32 selection as part of the return, though they traded down to No. 33 in another deal with the Carolina Panthers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kansas City GM Brett Veach traded superstar guard Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears in a surprise move, opening up one void on the o-line. The team also has to make room to extend Trey Smith, who was assigned the franchise tag.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs have eight total draft picks in the 2025 draft: No. 31, 63, 66 (via the Tennessee Titans in the L\u2019Jarius Sneed trade), 95, 133, 226, 251 and 257.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs had one of the league\u2019s best offensive lines from 2021 to 2024, but the unit was absolutely exposed in their 40-22 blowout loss to Philadelphia in the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Replacing Joe Thuney\u2019s consistent production is easier said than done, and veteran offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor has been a liability. So it\u2019d be a surprise if Kansas City didn\u2019t address the o-line in the early rounds of next week\u2019s draft.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
