San Francisco 49ers talented linebacker Dre Greenlaw suffered an\u00a0Achilles tear\u00a0during their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Greenlaw wasn\u2019t ready for the start of 2024, and the 49ers placed him on the\u00a0reserve\/physically unable to perform (PUP)\u00a0list at the roster cutdown deadline. Since then, he missed their first 12 weeks and 11 games.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>He is nine months removed from the injury and is inching closer to a return.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Ian Rapoport of\u00a0NFL Network,\u00a0<\/em>the expectation is for the 49ers to designate Dre Greenlaw for a return from the PUP list this week and open his practice window in the process. As Rapoport points out, Greenlaw could return to practice this week. Wednesday would be the first time since February (pre-injury) he practices.<\/p>\n
