Taylor Day, a Westerly resident, happened to be driving by the \u201calarming\u201d scene as investigators were arriving.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just something very out of the ordinary for Westerly,\u201d she explained to the outlet, adding, \u201cI would never expect anything like that \u2014 especially not in Watch Hill.\u201d<\/p>\n Police insist no foul play is suspected at this time, but Day \u201cwould definitely disagree with that,\u201d as she emphasized that \u201cfinding a leg is very suspicious.\u201d<\/p>\n There\u00a0have been a dozen discoveries of human bodies and remains in multiple Northeastern states\u00a0in recent months, leading residents to worry about a possible serial killer \u2014 who seemingly targets women.<\/p>\n![\"Map](\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/05\/map-taylor-swifts-rhode-island-104548790.png\")

\u201cMy mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around,\u201d Day said. \u201cI\u2019m more aware of my surroundings. I don\u2019t go places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the multiple \u2014 and eerily similar \u2014 discoveries, officials have continued to rule out foul play, even\u00a0claiming that there is no \u201cconnection\u201d among the cases\u00a0and \u201cno known threat to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n
