I’ll be the first to confess I don’t love the schedule release week and the hype the NFL is able to generate around it. But I would much rather do that than cover another edition of the Dallas Cowboys’ exhausting negotiating process when it comes to extending its stars.<\/p>\n

Oh, well. I can’t do anything about that. On Thursday, the pending Micah Parsons contract extension reappeared on our radar following a post on X from the Cowboys superstar defender, who is\u00a0seeking a deal that will likely make him the highest-paid\u00a0non-quarterback in NFL history.<\/p>\n

The post was a response to Cowboys insider Clarence Hill Jr. from\u00a0All City DLLS,\u00a0<\/em>who suggested a “a\u00a0hand shake deal is already done” between Parsons and the front office. In turn, Hill’s post was a reaction to Stephen Jones telling reporters he thinks they’ll “ultimately” sign Micah.<\/p>\n

Okay. Now, bear with me for the following paragraph, I promise it’ll be explained.<\/p>\n

Parsons cryptically tweeted multiple emojis of a cap\u2014often used to indicate a lie\u2014followed by the phrase “no kizzy,” which is slang for “no lie.” Naturally, the cap emojis made the post confusing, as it could’ve been interpreted as Micah saying Hill’s message was “no cap” overall or a double negative: “Cap, no lies,” meaning he was saying Hill was lying, for real.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
