That was enough to light the fuse. A marquee name. A\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0r\u00e9sum\u00e9. And a team with question marks in the secondary? The optics wrote themselves.<\/p>\n<p>But team insiders &#8211; including CowboysCountry.com\u2019s Mike Fisher &#8211; were quick to cool the buzz. They\u2019ve heard nothing of substance inside the building. No internal discussions. No.\u2028It doesn\u2019t even guarantee he\u2019ll be the one living in that home. And it certainly doesn\u2019t confirm that the Cowboys are actively pursuing him. But it\u2019s worth noting. Because the move was real. And it&#8217;s not like athletes living in DFW is uncommon. So take that for what it&#8217;s worth.<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey also isn\u2019t exactly cheap. Structurally, financially \u2014 it\u2019s doable.<\/p>\n<p>The real question is philosophical. Do they want to? Fish and others are telling us that the answer at this time is \u201cno.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That answer changing might hinge on the health of Trevon Diggs, the growth of Caelen Carson, and the development of Kaiir Elam and Shevon Revel Jr. If that group comes along, Ramsey is a luxury. If not?<\/p>\n<p>This is the kind of swing you make for right now \u2014 and defer the consequences.
