Miami Dolphins\u00a0star wide receiver\u00a0Tyreek Hill\u00a0has opened up about his mental health struggles and the steps he\u2019s taken to address them ahead of his 10th NFL season.<\/p>\n

One year after leading the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13), Tyreek Hill endured the most disappointing season of his career in 2024. The future Hall of Famer caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns, with the 56.4 yards he averaged per game marking Hill\u2019s lowest since his 2016 rookie year.<\/p>\n

But for Tyreek Hill, the events off the field made for an emotionally draining and taxing year.<\/p>\n

On his way to Miami\u2019s Week 1 home opener against the\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars, Hill was pulled over and detained by police over a traffic violation. Police bodycam footage showed Hill being taken out of his car, taken to the ground and handcuffed despite displaying zero threatening gestures or language. One of the cops involved the detainment was placed on administrative leave.<\/p>\n

Last month, police responded to a call from Tyreek Hill\u2019s mother-in-law regarding a domestic dispute between Hill and his wife, Keeta. No charges were filed, and Keeta filed for divorce soon after.<\/p>\n

Per ESPN\u2019s Marcel Louis-Jacques, Hill recently\u00a0started attending\u00a0church and therapy to help with his mental health struggles:<\/p>\n

    \u201cIt\u2019s tough. Only thing I\u2019m going to say is, man, money is a crazy thing for a lot of people. But I mean for me, we just going to let the details just handle itself, you know what I\u2019m saying? Because at the end of the day, the truth always comes out, right? My job is just to be a great father to all of my kids and be the best player I can be and be the best leader I can be for these guys in this locker room, man. So, I\u2019m going to stand strong on that and I\u2019m going to stand firm on that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
