It’s<\/span>\u00a0been an arduous journey for\u00a0Boston Red Sox\u00a0starting pitcher Kutter Crawford. Towards the start of the season,\u00a0<\/span>Crawford\u00a0<\/span>was placed<\/span>\u00a0on the IL<\/span> list with right patellar tendinopathy.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was among a series of Red Sox pitchers battling various injuries. Recently, Crawford was out battling soreness in his wrist, delaying his scheduled rehab assignment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the Red Sox\u00a0<\/span>officially stated<\/span>\u00a0on Friday that the 29-year-old\u00a0<\/span>didn’t<\/span>\u00a0have any structural damage, per Christopher Smith of Mass Live.com. As a result, Crawford\u00a0<\/span>is expected<\/span>\u00a0to take part in bullpen sessions over in Fort Meyers, Florida, this weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manager Alex Cora said before\u00a0<\/span>Friday’s<\/span>\u00a0game against the New York Yankees that\u00a0<\/span>Crawford’s<\/span>\u00a0recovery will be slowly but surely.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>I<\/span>t\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0up to him now as (far as) tolerance,<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>he said to Mass Live.com.<\/span>\u00a0\u201c<\/span>No live BP scheduled. Just a bullpen\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0we\u2019ll<\/span>\u00a0know more over the weekend<\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Boston’s<\/span>\u00a0pitching rotation is experiencing a series of injuries. Outside the exploits of Garrett Crochet, who is 5-4 with a 1.98 ERA, the remaining starters are struggling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Walker Buehler, Lucas Giolito, Tanner Houck, and Brayan Bello have ever experienced injury and inconsistency. The Red Sox are currently 30-34 and in 4th place in the American League Central Division.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When healthy, Crawford is a pitcher with promise. He has been with the Red Sox since 2021. Thus far,\u00a0<\/span>Crawford’s<\/span> overall record is 17-31.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2023, Crawford went through his first full season with the Red Sox. Though he finished 6-8, he had a 4.04 ERA and 135 strikeouts. In addition, Crawford finished with 129.1 innings pitched.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He pitched in 31 games and had 23 starts. All combined for career highs in each category.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The following season, he led the league in starts (33), strikeouts (175), and innings (175). However,\u00a0<\/span>Crawford made unfortunate history<\/span>\u00a0in a start against the Texas Rangers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
